Hello, I'm Rikiya Okawa. After returning to Japan, I worked at Costco Wholesale for approximately one year, followed by three years at AccorHotels. Until September 2022, I studied UI/UX Design at Digital Hollywood Tokyo.
I graduated from Kanda Foreign Language Institute in November 2015 and completed Grossmont College's Digital Arts program in June 2017.
In September 2022, I graduated from the UI/UX Design program at Digital Hollywood Tokyo.
In my previous role, I primarily engaged in language-related tasks, including guest check-ins and check-outs, reservation management, correspondence with overseas agents, and handling complaints from international guests. This significantly enhanced my communication skills and my ability to manage complex situations within multilingual environments.
Until September 2022, I completed an internship at Tree Digital Studio Co., Ltd., focusing on improving the logo and UI/UX of educational AR games. This experience extended beyond design, teaching me valuable methods of integrating user feedback into the development process. Subsequently, until December 2022, I worked part-time at Little Planet Inc.'s AR/VR facility, conducting user experience research and analyzing target demographics, significantly deepening my understanding of diverse user needs and preferences.
Currently, I work as a Web Engineer at Fivestar Interactive Inc., where my primary responsibilities include website development using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript within a Node.js environment. This role continuously enhances my technical abilities and keeps me updated on the latest trends in web development. I am dedicated to creating responsive, user-friendly websites that exceed client expectations.
Through my varied experiences, I have gained a comprehensive perspective on the digital industry. I am eager to apply this knowledge and skill set to innovative and challenging projects in the future.
This is a portfolio site I created to learn React, TypeScript, Three.js, and Next.js. I focused on the fusion of technology and design, aiming to create an immersive interface. My goal is to enhance both modern technical skills and creative expression.
